A long file or several short files?

I have a long Word document (about 120 pages) with a lot of pictures (around one per page) which I want to put onto my website. Is it better to do this as a single document or should I break it into a number of smaller documents with appropriate links? I am thinking about the effect on the speed of download for a user. I am using HTML and CSS, not one of the web-builder packages.

I hope you have found the solution to this. But it will be good to arrange them in a single document. Breaking it into single document with appropriate link will be very stressful for the user.
