Curious to see how long people have been using forums for, i first signed up to an Xbox modding forum in 2008.
How about you guys?

I started making use of forums as early as at the year 2009 and I have never stop using forums since then till now. This is because it is a community that I enjoy making use of more than social media.

I started using forums not too long ago. This happened like 5 years ago when I grew tired of all the toxicity that goes on in every social media sites. I have been enjoying my time on forums since then.

I didn't start using forum too long ago like you that started using forums way back in 2008. It was in 2018 that I started making use of forums. It was when I got fed up with using social media sites.

I've been using forums for as long as I can think of. It should around 2005 or even 2004 that I started using forums and I've enjoyed it since. Socal media have come and done its part but it never changed how I feel about forums.

I started using forums as far back as 2009. I've never been the social media type of person and it's why I got so used to forums. I can give up Facebook anyday without thinking twice.

If I remembered correctly, I think you should be around 2011 that I started making use of forums and since then, I have always been an active member of forum communities because they are the best place you can exchange ideas and discussion with people.

I know about forums for long though I wasn't an active member then. I will just register and forget about it but it was brought into limelight again to me by my friend and I think I am ready to be an active member now.

My friend also helped me to get on forums. I used to think that it is all about wasting time, but I have come to realize that people learn a lot as a result of being on forums.

About 8 sports forums. 8 times they have banned me. Some thing about the sports forum that gives automatic ban. It's not the html or bb codes or any of the computer stuffs. Just the topic. So they ban me 8 times. So I took up computers before I took up sports. Or at least simultaneously. Now I've been a computer user far longer. The sports forums thinks I still have to play sports. Ridiculous. High school I took up the electronics. Few computer knowledge then. Not a lot. Like typing on the screen. That's it. Now it's different use of the computer. About 30 something years ago.

You get to achieve more when you interact with others on a forum and that is what I enjoy about joining forums that serve my interests.

Mostly sports forum. But on a sport forum they already take into account playing sports. Like when I was a little kid. Banned 8 times by 3 or 4 forums. So that's it with forums. I have 3 other forums I'm on. A bit different than blogs.

I started using forums in 2004 when I was looking for some help with something. I started off on one forum and then slowly built up my own and found more forums along the way.

Aside from the break I took between 2017 - 2022, I have been on forums for around 15 years now.

I like HTML too. HTML is easy for me. I'm more of a Java guy and Python programmer. I study the codes there more. But I appreciate HTML too for being knowledgeable in PC use. Website and blogs is my area of concentration. Videos, gifs, pics, and text, pdfs, all kinds. 1986 is when I first learned the pc. Basic programming to Java. So hardly study ASP.net, but like them too.

I started a long time ago, with the building of my first websites around 2004. In that time A was a moderator on several forums to. Now I a happy when I have the time to finish all the e-mails every day.

Just moderator? Sports, history, english or computer forum. Sports? I got tossed out 8 times ban. Interesting part is the computer skills and/or interpretation of the answers or forums. Now I just stick to computers and hope I learn even more. Java has made a big difference in blogging. They know a lot. That was good.

I don't know anything about ASP.net and their program or programmers. Different mindsets. But I wasn't aware of the net. Just the Java guys. 1995 about, I heard of Java. All new again. Relearn the pc again.

Yes only moderator. It was on a national boy scouts website, a forum for small business advise, a music instruments supplier forum and some small ones. Some of them were paid, but it took more time then it was worth.
Never any sports, I hate looking at sports, waste of time. I do not know anything about it.

I did had my own forum for some times, but not the response was to low, so I sold it after 6 months. It was a music forum.

I am getting to have more fun on forums than on social media platforms. I don't only write but I am also active in reading nowadays, my reading skills are coming up as it was when I started writing some years back.
