Illustrator or Photoshop?

Which do you prefer, which revision, and why? I prefer Photoshop CS5, because I'm most familiar with it, though it seems Illustrator has a lot more design-oriented UI.

The same reason why you chose Photoshop over illustrator is the same thing why I always go with it. This is because whenever you are working, it is better to use the tool that you can best manipulate to get the best result.

Photoshop is my favourite graphics design software. There's nothing I can't do with the software on any design work I have to do. It's what I learnt how to graphically design with it.

I am currently learning Photoshop. Perhaps I will learn illustrator later but I have the knowledge of PS now so I will choose it.

Is it not better to be good with the tools you have mastered so well to give you the best in what you are designing. I will choose Photoshop because of same reason too.
