HTML Validate problem

I have added icons to my site and have links to social media pages when you click on the icons.
When I run this through my HTML validator it says ' Anchor link must have a text describing its purpose (html-validate(wcag/h30)
I dont want any text showing on my website as Im using icons...how do I get around this?

Im making this as part of an assignment so I want it to be as correct as possible (semantically and accesibility)

Just because your validator issues a warning message doesn't mean your code won't work. Does your web page still work as intended? If so, then it really isn't an issue, is it?
