HTML <a> tag for linking clickable phone number not working

I'm having issues getting the clickable phone tag to work, it just brings me to an error page when clicked. I've tried looking through a bunch of resources and tried to fix it, but have had no luck. Any help is very much appreciated!
Here is the code I have currently: <a href=“tel:+14036220090”>403-622-0090</a>
