Don't write your own custom css. You can always include Bootstrap CSS to styling your html tags. You can download bootstrap css and bootstrap js alongside also place Jquery library bofore bootstrap.js file as It is main file.

I second this. Bootstrap is an absolute godsend and lets you easily create easy-on-the-eye CSS. I've not written any core CSS since discovering it.
