Banner Advertising - Pros and Cons

I think everyone has forgotten to mention ad-blockers. Anyway, I think the solution to get around this mess is with link ads. In other words, the ad can be placed as a link on the forum that looks like a forum gateway. Has anyone encountered anything like that?

    The Buying Cycle

It's simply the phenomenon that people usually don't buy on the first sales pitch. In other words, there has to be more attempts at a sale. That's why marketers attempt to gain hold of social media accounts, emails, etc. for the sole purpose getting what you call "leads".

What kind of support do you prefer?

With paid, you have email, live, or both. With free, there could be no support, public support (public forum), pay-by-case support, or even the same as with paid. So what kind of support have you experienced? How do you feel about it?

    Free or Paid host?

I only used free hosting when I first started making websites. Well, it wasn't free, it was ad-supported. That's a lot better because you get more resources. So anyway, the company I had used is out of business now - but I only had a cheapo website on it anyhow.

    Cheap website hosting services?

InfinityFree.net has unmetered bandwidth and disk-space. The only con seems to be "public forum support". Nonetheless, though, a close friend of mine said it was no good, mainly cause he didn't like the control panel - but I think the error might be more with him than the company.

    The Buying Cycle

This is an old one that people should know. Basically, it's saying people only buy after a sales pitch goes to them 7 times (something similar to that). Anyway, the ways of incorporating this method are often email and social media.

    Where did you learn HTML?

I picked it up on my own after I bought this corny "web-store-in-a-box" scam. Anyway, my friend at church (the website helper) was into programming and stuff. I mean, before him I knew or cared diddly squat about it.

Banner Advertising - Pros and Cons

I've not seen that to be the case. I mean, have you seen what PPC (like BingAds or AdWords) cost? Yeah, I'm a bit cynical about it too. That's why if I had a forum or blog (for most niches), I'd want a marketplace section, not a bunch of banner ads, or even Adsense ones.

Banner Advertising - Pros and Cons

One pro is the fact that its quality traffic. I mean, it's not like some redirected or pop-up traffic where the quality and even the real nature :D (sometimes bots are used) is a question. Anyway, though, the con is that you might be able to get a better deal with quality pay-per-click, stuff...

    Facebook Pages and Groups

It's a fact that only a tiny amount of visitors to a Facebook page will see your feed (unless it's really small). In that case, you have to pay a fee - though, it's not a lot in comparison to other advertising. Anyway, are Facebook groups the same? I do know Facebook groups is vastly more...

Social Media Pages/Groups with A lot of Followers - How to Make Money?

Whether it be Facebook, Google++. Instagram, or Twitter, if you have a page of around 40,000 to even 100,000 followers, then what is there to do? Well, I suppose it would depend on the niche. Well, how about the YouTube creation niche? Anyway, it doesn't seem very sellable. Much better...

    Paying for marketing

Creativity is also good and I am into a similar thing. Nonetheless, marketing is all the same, whether SEO tools or art. Anyway. do you mean selling out your style for a buck? Well, that would be bad, but I'm sure there are ways around it.

    Paying for marketing

I have mixed feelings on the issue. On one hand, yeah, there needs to be soft-selling before the final, but then again, maybe a hard in-your-face approach is better. Either way, at the end, the buyer needs to sign up for some sort of list like email, social media, etc. That's because people...

    The Donation Model of Blogging

This seems to work with blogs with a large loyal fan base.. Also, it always helps if the owner is putting out valuable content. Anyway, would any of you consider doing this? How much of a chance would you give it?

    WOM (Word Of Mouth)

Would anyone consider social media to be WOM? I think so, hence, why it is so effective. Anyway, considering some evidence suggests social media is WOM, should we focus on it more than other types - like say, PPC or SEO? Well, in the latter case, most marketers would want to lead buyers to a...

    Best security measures against spambots

That's a method I use, but can anyone name some other ones that just as good? Anyway,I was also wondering if very difficult questions, though not backward types, would pose a challenge (to spambots). I'm talking about questions like, "What was Mozart's first symphony?".

10 Steps Towards Successful Forum Marketing

I'd be really cautious about this. For one thing, a lot of forums hate spammers. However, though, if you look at other member's posts and also the rules, you might be able to find commercially friendly ones. However, though, a concession might need to made, say paying a monthly fee or making...

    Advice about Affiliate programs?

Look at your ad funds and time to see if it's worthwhile. For instance, considering the payout, will you have enough ad funds and time to mean anything? Anyway, make 2nd and 3rd assessments. We might be more capable than it seems.

    Spamming

In the case of websites that allow signatures, but the regular members don't like it, is that spam? Technically it's not, but it's an unwelcoming environment. Anyway, some niches would be worse for that than others.

Does your site have a Facebook Page?

Many of my sites have Facebook pages. Nonetheless, they're very undeveloped - even the ones with a lot of members. Anyway, it's all about putting forth the time, but I'm stretched thin with projects. Do you think help should be hired?
