The following patch for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, scheduled for release later this summer, has just been revealed. Fractures in Time, patch 10.1.5, adds an unexpected quantity of content. Particularly the evokers, who never imagined that so soon after joining World of Warcraft, they would be showered with so much love. In the game, players can acquire enough WoW Dragonflight Gold.
The most notable change in WoW's next patch is the addition of the brand new Evoker specialization, a feat not seen in WoW since Guardian Druids were added 11 years ago. This third Evoker spec is called Augmentation and it acts as a mix of support and damage dealing roles. While this is exciting news for Evokers, it also has a major downside.

The evokers in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight have become very popular in a short period of time, and they are not only unique in appearance but also in abilities. Many players enjoy playing as an anthropomorphic dragon with the combined magic of all Dragonflight in the game, and the introduction of the new specialization is even more cause for celebration.
Enhanced Evokers focuses on using magic from the Black and Bronze Dragonflights, which is especially important given the current direction of World of Warcraft's story in Ashes of Neltharion. The whole point of the update is to rediscover the legacy of the Black Dragon, while Fractures in Time will be all about the Bronze Dragon. So, with powers beyond Earth and time, the Augmented Evoker already sounds like a mighty warrior.
Although Augment is considered a damage-dealing spec, it's not like any other DPS spec in the game. Devastation is another damage spec for Evokers that focuses on charring enemies with a barrage of draconic magic, but Augmentation works differently. It's clear that Blizzard wants this new Evoker to be both unique and useful, as WoW's Augmentation Evoker will focus on dealing damage by buffing allies.
These evokers possess a variety of spells that not only deal damage but also empower surrounding squad members. This means that in team-based activities, such as raids and battlegrounds, augmentation is likely to be a popular choice for World of Warcraft Dracthyr players. Most of their spells also work with smart aiming, meaning players don't have to constantly switch between targeting enemies and allies, and they can properly focus on their damage-dealing role.
However, as a class, evokers have one major downside, not just its one specialty. Evoker is the only class in World of Warcraft that is only available to one race of Dracthyr. This means that any player who wants to play as Evoker has to get used to thinking of himself as a dragon. This makes sense in the lore of the class, as if they were using dragon-like magic, some spells wouldn't work properly if the caster wasn't a dragon.
With that said, Blizzard has been going the extra mile in giving players what they want in Dragonflight. A few months ago, the developers even said that the third Evoker specs weren't in the cards, but they are here. It's not unreasonable to assume that the Evoker class might expand to other races in the future, as Fractures in Time will soon allow World of Warcraft's Warlocks to play as any race.
It's usually worth being optimistic about these things, because even if they're not coming to WoW anytime soon, the future is full of possibilities. Gameplay like Dragonflight in World of Warcraft seemed impossible a few years ago, and now it's one of Dragonflight's most popular features.
