I actually finished college last March 2017. I graduated Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. However, it wasn't really my first choice. Hell, I even hated it. Come first year, I wanted to shift courses already. I wasn't ready for programming and my first year was really hard for me. I like Mathematics that's why I took up Engineering, but programming isn't really my forte, or so I thought. I finished college hating programming but now I am working as a software engineer. Oh the irony, right? I don't know when I enjoyed it. Maybe during my first job? I don't know for sure, but what I do know now is that I enjoy programming. What about you? What are your thoughts about programming?

Programming and my love-hate relationship for it.

@kathness Wow! You didn't like Computer Science, but you still ended up as a software developer. That is just awesome! I'm currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science at a reputed university in my country. I have to say that I absolutely love programming, but I there are times where I feel programming is not for me. In those moments, I try to be patient and just keep learning. I also hate it when your program doesn't run because of a bug, and when you find the error, you realize that you missed a simple semi-colon! However, regardless of the pitfalls, I'm still enjoying the journey to be a professional programmer.
Well that's life, The more you hate the more you love. 
Honestly I hate my finance course, that's why I took another course and it was just a two year course, computer technician. Right now I enjoying this technician course, I really love working with computer, and your programming course is gonna be my next thing. I want to study and learn everything about your course. I hope to get time and learn even just the basic things about programming.

This is because you have a natural love for programming. Also don't worry about bugs. It's normal in a program that's why debugging was invented right? And debugging is fun, especially if you finally understand the problem.

Good luck with gaining experience! I think that is it very interesting, my husband is a programmer while I only finished some courses on Web design. I wish I had my main education in the IT sphere, but it has not been that popular yet when I finished school, and now I feel that I am too old for it.
IT technologies open new opportunities. I am interested in coding and find it pretty challenging.
I hope that you will find your niche soon and achieve many things. Do not forget to rest enough and set new goals!

In my case, it is actually the opposite, I got to like programming in my first encounter with it during my grade 11 school days. The thought that I liked it already, then I took up a computer science major in application development in my college level now. As my college years passed, I came to hate programming too. There was also a time that I regretted taking this field of study, but I think maybe it is just that I lost my interest because I got some trouble in my college life right now. But this is my first choice and I like it so maybe its never too late. I hope I will achieve my dream and goal soon.
I'm a Bachelor in Education student and it's also not my first choice. I actually wanted to be an I.T. specialist or anything related to it like Computer Engineering because I'm fascinated with programming stuff and everything about computers. However, I don't have a choice but to also love my future vocation. I actually join programming forums because I really want to learn a lot about it even if I'm not studying (formally) about it. Although, it's actually very hard and sometimes I feel like I'm lucky enough to not stumble into courses related to programming. What a love-hate relationship as well.

I also hated programming during my first two years in College. Come the third year we are slapped with many programming requirements. I forced myself to learn computer programming. While learning it, I thought to myself "This isn't that hard, what made me hate programming?". That was the start of my relationship with programming. Then we lived happily ever after. 
When you find yourself in the fry, there's nothing else you can do but to catch up. I found myself in that situation during my time in the university but I had to adapt as quickly as possible. Anything that is your passion is something that will always make you happy whenever you are investing your time into it and which is why a lot of my friends that are into programming and making a good amount of money from their projects.
Quitting should never be your option when you want to achieve something great because there is nothing good that comes very easily which is why I am going to encourage you to always give your best and you will see yourself succeed.
