I have seen a lot of forum members who are making use of this style when it comes to their introduction threads in several forums. The mostly spin the same introduction to all the forums they register on.
I've seen such kind of introduction by some, people on my forum. I don't feel its a big deal. I don't expect them to have different things to say about themselves in an introduction.
