Have you ever cooked with fire wood?

My father used to take me camping all the time when I was still a teenager. It's where I learnt how to cook using firewood. He taught me how to gather firewood and light up fire with stones just like in the olden days. I enjoyed the experience.

Yes, I have cooked using firewoods on several occasions. I used to live in the rural area with my grandparents and it's with the use of firewoods that we cook all of our food.

Yes, it's what I used to cook my steak . I can't think of any better way to cook steak and get the best taste from it.

I only use charcoal to grill my meat. I've not been able to use firewood to cook because it is allowed in the area where I am staying.

That makes sense. I would stick with charcoal too if firewood wasn't allowed where I lived. It's what my parents use and it still does a great job for grilling.
