Does anyone know if you can make MyBB Newpoints into a Minecraft plugin?

So, I've just been brainstorming some ideas, and one of them was to do with a MyBB plugin named Newpoints. It is a system that allows you to earn points for posting on that particular forum.

Now, I was wondering if maybe a plugin for Minecraft can be made with it that connects to the database of the MyBB, and grabs all the info, and everytime a user breaks/places a block, they earn X points.

And, there could then maybe be an in-game store that links all this together to buy in-game items?
