I was wondering where to put this, but decided to leave it here.

I started out with eclipse and got sick of it pretty quickly, it was too bloated with loads of functionality i wasn't going to use anyway. Also the need for endless plugins annoyed me.

So i switched to notepad++, which is much more lightweight. It served me well for some time. Lately however I've been feeling I'd like to have at least some code completion and colouration.

So I switched to netbeans. Netbeans is nice, but I'm usually uploading my files to a remote server and the built in FTP support is quirky.

So what IDE do you use, and why?

I haven't used Notepad++ yet. It's never appealed to me. I'm more into using Python and Sublime Text. They both work best for me.
