What you don't need because of technology advancement?

The world is fastly developing as a result what technology have been doing over the years. A lot of things have been phased out while some still stick around.

What are the things that you think should be taken out of commission? I'm thinking the use of disc.

I can remember when we still make use of lanterns for lighting the house years ago. Now, it's something that I haven't seen in ages. The lanterns are used with kerosene to light it. Now, it's rechargeable bulbs that we use.

It's going to be using fire wood to cook food. It's what we used to cook food decades ago when I was still staying with my grandmother. Now, it's gas cooker and electric cooker we use.

Some people are still using firewood because they can't afford gas or electric cooker that cooks faster besides there's some rural are that doesn't have light. I don't think firewood can be taken out that easily.

Honestly though with the changes in technology, there seems to be no reason for keeping traditional encyclopedias anymore. In the past, it required a heavy book for research, everything is online now. While I was working with wikipedia page creation in UAE, I realized how much information can be found out just as quickly and easily edited. While printed sources are not updated, pages on Wikipedia can be changed instantaneously making them more reliable for up-to-date information. Physical reference books feel so out of place at this point!
