Must a programmer be a genius?

I agree that programming is an activity that requires brain work. So anyone that is not ready to put that in will definitely find it hard to succeed in that aspect.
But at the same time I believe that anyone willing to dedicate to e and commitment to learn can get it. So no one needs to be a genius to be a programmer.

There a lot of things in life that can be done without the genius tag, this is what I always tell people. If you are willing to learn then you can be good at programming.
