    I advertise my sites on other sites and forums. I also make use of social media, it works though not all the time.

    I don’t read emails that I know I did not subscribe to. So there is a high chance that your email will not even be opened, which defeats the purpose already.

    I think a lot of people are scrolling social media more than forums. So to get the best results, social media is still the best one out of the two.

    If you’re the type of person that is usually active on forums and contributing to the discussions there, then you can make use of that opportunity to advertise on your signature. It works well, especially if the forum has a lot of members and visitors.
