    Advertising in webmaster forums

    It depends on the situation. For instance, if I have guitar forum, then I can find writers on a webmaster forum, even though the niche obviously isn't guitar. In that case, they're wanting do-follow links I suppose. Also, these same people might not post anything, but rather leave a profile...

    A lot of people want to rank on Google (seeing as it is the biggest one.). In that case, Google ++ is seen as a shortcut to gaining more favor. Anyhow, though, it's certainly not the most popular platform (The most popular being Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram I think).

    What comes to mind are those sites with pop-unders, pop-ups and redirected traffic. Anyway, in some cases, they may not be scams, but I'm always doubtful. I mean, you're talking about traffic that might not even be real (bots) or at the least, it's people not in the mood to like your site, or...

    Best Places To Buy Or Rent Ads

    I like BuySellAds.com. It's a banner ad place and I trust that type of traffic more. Anyway, the reason I trust it is cause, as with forum signatures, you can be assured of real visitors who weren't forced into going to your site (and also are real, lol)..

    Forum signatures: a good way to advertise?

    Depending on the site, the traffic could vary - but that's true without about any good traffic source. Anyway, even if the traffic is scant, it's still better than with many forms (pop-under ads etc..) because there's no chance of a scam. I mean, the people coming in are real and not forced. :)

    Forums vs social Media

    Social media might censor things more than private forums. In that case, there is a huge appeal. Anyway, though, aside from that, I don't really like social media cause it seems like a monopoly. Does it to you?
